Cardinal Heenan celebrate outstanding GCSE & Level 2 results.

Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School is once again proud to announce and celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and Level 2 results.

Our students and staff have worked together over the last five years to develop a lifelong love of learning, a commitment to trying their best and building upon the best traditions of our wonderful school.

As we issue the outstanding results that our students so richly deserve, we share their excitement and wish them well as they progress to post-16 studies with partners such as Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College, Leeds City College and other Post 16 providers in the City to study a wide range of A Level, T-Level and BTEC courses.  We are equally excited to congratulate our students who are moving into apprenticeships or specialist training programmes. We know that out students will continue to work hard and succeed in whatever pathway they follow.

Headline Figures:

86% of our students achieved Grade 4+ English and maths

35% of all grades achieved were grade 7 or higher

87% of all grades achieved were grade 4 or higher

We are immensely proud of all the incredible hard work that our students have put in during their time with us, especially after such a difficult and disrupted period due to the pandemic. Everyone in our school community has worked tirelessly to ensure that students are able to progress onto their chosen post- 16 pathways and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future. We would like to commend all of our students who have shown incredible resilience and commitment to their education and for their outstanding contribution to our “happy School” (Ofsted Feb 2023).

We are incredibly grateful to parents, carers, our wider community and support networks for the unfailing help and support that they continue to provide.

GCSE results are only one part of a truly successful school and do not define individuals. Our students have demonstrated resilience, dedication, a commitment to hard work, kindness and ambition; values which make them such amazing young people who are a credit to their families and to the Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School family and we would like to thank them for their individual contributions to our school and wish them good luck in the future.
