Students and staff celebrate outstanding GCSE results

Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School is proud to announce and celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and Level 2 results.

Our students and staff have worked together over the last five years to develop a lifelong love of learning, a commitment to striving to be the best we can be and building upon the best traditions of our wonderful school.

The outstanding results of our students are so richly deserved. We share their excitement and wish them well as they progress to post-16 studies with partners such as Notre Dame Catholic Sixth Form College to study a range of A Level, T Level and BTEC courses. We are equally excited to congratulate our students who are moving into apprenticeships or specialist training programmes.  We know that out students will continue to work hard and succeed in whatever pathway they follow.

We are immensely proud of all the incredible hard work of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted period due to the pandemic. Everyone in our school community has worked tirelessly to ensure that our students progress onto their chosen post- 16 pathways and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future. We would like to commend all of our students who have shown incredible resilience and courage when faced with repeated lockdowns, remote learning, self-isolation, illness, bereavement and ever-changing education plans. We are incredibly grateful to parents, carers, our wider community and support networks for the unfailing help and support that they have provided.

GCSE results are only one part of a truly successful school and do not define students. Our students have demonstrated resilience, dedication, a commitment to hard work, kindness and ambition, values which show that they are a credit to their families and to the Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School family and we would like to thank them for their contribution to our school and wish them good luck in the future.
